Barbate

This simple fishing village is very popular with seafood lovers. It produces excellent tuna and other salted fish and preserves, authentic delicacies of the highest quality.

The town also has some of the best restaurants and bars in the region with a delicious variety of fried fish and tuna dishes.

The municipality of Barbate includes beaches such as Caños de Meca or Zahara de los Atunes, which are a few kilometres from the town.

In the town itself is the beach La Victoria, an excellent beach with a pleasant and family atmosphere. In the outskirts of town there is the beach of La Yerbabuena, one of the most attractive and wild areas in Andalucía.

The pine forests of Barbate are a natural park of great ecological value and a landscape which is well worth a visit.
